The one single habit doubled my productivity in one week

I need to point out that this article isn’t going to be about quitting coffee, I might recommend reflecting on your caffeine intake from time to time, but not today — I have much bigger fish to fry.

Everybody must be sick of the “rise and grind”-mentality by now — at least I am. Not everybody likes to wake up early. Although I’m a morning person and like to get up at or before sunrise, some people are night owls. There should be zero shame in waking up at 10 a.m. and staying up until 2 a.m.

We can, and we should, however, discuss what keeps you up until 2 at night. If you are working because you are most effective, I will not hold it against you. But if you’re lying in bed scrolling endlessly on social media, we need to have a different discussion.

I’ll give a couple of simple steps on how to end that behaviour at the end. Firstly, let me give you a little context; and if you haven’t figured it out yet, the habit that changed it for me was optimizing my sleep. The better you sleep, the more efficient you become because rest is as important as productivity.
